The strength and convenience of a large company

'Correct registration and scanning at the checkout are essential for shop automation. This benefits you and GRS alike.'

Menno de Vreede, Head of Knowledge and Information management

Knowledge and Information Management

Within GRS, shop automation is a part of the Knowledge and Information management department. Among other things, this department also looks after the benchmark reports. In addition, it has also developed the GRS business scan. Using the business scan, it is possible to compare garden centres with one another based not only on turnover, but also on costs, balance sheet data and other indicators.

Benchmark
GRS offers a benchmark analysis to garden centres that supply their turnover figures automatically on a weekly basis via the internet. The turnover reports can be compared anonymously with figures from other garden centres.

Shop automation
Member garden centres can make use of the GRS automation concept. Our shop automation expert is the first point of contact for the garden centres. Garden centres are guided all the way from the initial quotation to the commissioning of the system. Garden centres that are already automated also receive a great deal of support for everything having to do with shop automation.

Among other things, the service provision includes the following:

  • Supporting the GRS automation concept. This describes the parties with whom and the way in which a garden centre due for automation can best be automated.
  • Assisting garden centres that want to start automating their shops.
  • Being a guide and a point of contact for automated garden centres.
  • In consultation, drawing up conditions such as the prices and the support level to be used with the preferred supplier(s) of shop automation
  • Several times a year, topical subjects concerning shop automation are discussed in a sounding board group made up of a group of users.
